Early Large Vintage Japanese Tin Whistle- Lion Head with Musical Instruments-YellowLarge Yellow Lion Music Pre War Whistle

  This early double tone tin litho whistle is 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) tall. It has a lion head at the top near the mouthpiece and various musical instruments: piano, drum, saxophone, accordion and mandolin on the tubes, along with musical staffs and notes.

   This whistle is from the early 1950's or pre-war and is marked Japan. This yellow version is in good condition with a couple of small chips in the litho, some spots of light orange stuff on the top right (gum, paint?) and a bit of off-registration along the left side.

The whistle has a loud but not annoying tone.
