This 1950's Japanese tin top does not have the original string but I have some that would make an excellent replacement, if you want it. You hold the wood handle as you pull the string to make the top spin.

The lithoed part of the top shows baseball images, including a batter, pitcher and catcher. Condition on the litho area is very good to excellent; the painted part has some wear and discoloration.

The top is 3 inches ( 7.5 cm) in diameter. Overall condition is very good.
