The colors and comic animals on this 4.85 inch (8 cm) long tin kazoo are classic 1950's Japanese. Many animal characters that you will see decorating 1950's Japanese toys are on this kazoo. They are dressed in their best multi patterened outfits too.
You have the dancing cat, rabbit with bass drum, pig with fiddle, and dog with banjo. They all look maniacally happy. Some animal heads also appear on the front, including a Donald Duck-like one along with a lion, mouse and deer.
Condition is good. Colors are strong. There are chips on the round red part that holds the paper that produces the humming sound, and the paper is missing so it is not making that humming sound. I'm not sure the paper can be replaced.
