Japanese Bisque Figures of Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf in Original Box
The beautiful paper label box indicates that this is proably a pre-war Japanese set. The inside of the box has a lithoed scene of Grandma's cottage in the woods.
Inside the box are bisque figures of Little Red holding her basket and a wolf. The arms on Little Red are moveable. She is 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall. The basket is 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) by 1.5 inches (3.8 cm).
The wolf looks pretty small...but still a wolf. He is 2.5 inches (6.3 cm) tall and 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) long.
There is a small amount of wear to the paint on the figures, especially the wolf. The wolf figure has a clear glaze so possibly the colors did not adhere as well as on the un-glazed bisque of the other figures. The box is in great shape but does have some warping on the sides.
Overall condition is very good to excellent.
