NOT JAPANESE- Vintage Pre War German Tin Clapper Noisemaker- College Pep Rally Band

No, it's not Japanese...check out the tiny letters on the edge of the bass drum player's jacket.

This tin noisemaker is marked made in Germany.  The colorful litho shows three well dressed preppy students, two wearing straw boaters, the third a cap. One student is playing a saxophone, another a bass drum and the third has a megaphone to lead the cheers. 

 The clapper type noisemaker is 8 inches (20 cm) tall.   The top circle is 3.5 inches (8.8 cm )in diameter.

It is all tin with the exception of the red wooden ball that strikes the round tin face of the noisemaker on the front side.

  Condition is very good with bright colors and just a few small chips to the litho and a shallow dent on the face where the ball strikes.
