Tiny Pre War Japanese Tin and Wood Toy Harmonica- Flag (Japan) and Flower Design

These Pre-War Japanese novelty toy harmonicas are wood with a decorative tin piece applied to the face.

This one is the smallest I have at 2 and 5/8 inches (6.5 cm) long, 5/8 inch (1.5 cm) wide and 3/16 inch deep.

The litho tin plate show some flags and flowers with lots of gold undertone. The main flag is Japanese but parts of two others are showing too.

I collected these pre-war Japanese tin and wood toy harmonicas for the colorful and interesting litho. They certainly don't usually work as musical instruments. This one makes no noise no matter how hard you try.

Aside from the musical performance, condition is good to very good. The litho colors are strong but have a bit of age darkening. Even though there is no mark on this small toy it is definitely Japanese.
