Vintage Japanese Game Board or Cards-Animals

This medium weight cardboard game board is covered with images of animals: there might be a tie-in with the animals of the Chinese zodiac. We have rat, horse, cow, sheep,tiger, lion, monkey, rabbit, rooster, dragon, dog, snake and boar. Each animal is shown as an adult and as a baby.

Playing card symbols and Japanese characters are seen along the bottom edges of the animal images with numbers along the top edge. The Joker cards are a comic looking elephant who has been cut into three pieces (and he's still smiling!) and a confrontation between a tiger and a dragon.

I'm not sure how this game is played...whether you cut out the cards or use the sheet as a game board. Either way the very attractive sheet works as art.

Condition is excellent and unused.
