Vintage Japanese Tin Sand Pail - Elephant, Rabbit and Monkey Blowing Bubbles
This vintage Japanese tin sand pail has dressed animals blowing bubbles . A monkey, an elephant, a mouse and a rabbit (she is just watching) are all involved. The scene is shown on both sides of the tin pail.
The body of the pail is 3 inches ( 7.6 cm) tall with the tin handle adding about 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) to the height. The top diameter of the pail is 4.75 inches (12 cm). The base of the pail is 3.25 inches ( 8.2 cm) in diameter.
Condition is very good overall on this pail. There is light wear across the litho surface. The colors are good but the surface shows some spider lines and dots of light roughness.
The interior and handle are a silver color showing wear and light corrosion along the top edge of the pail and all over the handle. I have not tried to polish this pail.
