Foreign Flags Design - Pre War Japan Tin and Wood Toy Harmonica

These Pre-War Japanese novelty toy harmonicas are wood with a decorative tin face. This one is 4.75 inches (12 cm) long, 1.25 inches (3.3 cm) wide and 3/8 inch deep. The litho shows a series of six flags of different countries or entities: France, Japan, Great Britain, Switzerland, the Russian Navy and one another that is unclear.

I collected these pre-war Japanese tin and wood toy harmonicas for the colorful and interesting litho. They certainly don't usually work as musical instruments. Sometimes you can get a squeak out of them but of the eleven that I have, only six produce any sound. This one can be forced to produce a few notes.

Aside from the musical performance, condition is very good to excellent. One area on the right side of the tin litho shows some age related darkening.
