Set of Four Vintage Japanese Menko Cowboy, Dragon, Kid in Stove, Motorcycle Boy

These four round menko cards are roughly the same size, 2.5 inches (6.3 cm) in diameter.
The cards depict a cowboy losing his hat in the wind, a comic animal jumping in fright at the open mouth and sharp teeth of a dragon, a boy astride a motorcycle with sidecar with a dog in the sidecar, and a pot-belly stove with a boy and dog inside while a bearded old man peeks from behind. This last image shows up time and again in the Japanese artwork so I can only assume these must be characters in a well known story.

The cards are litho printed on a mid-weight cardboard with beautiful 1950's vintage colors and lots of details. There is no printing on the backs.

Condition is excellent, unused. No children ever got their hands on these new-old stock cards.
